Brian is feeling much better, but still has some viral symptoms and his throat is still bright red. We’re hoping that he’ll be able to come back to Cincy sometime this weekend, but all his symptoms will have to subside first. Please say a prayer for him. He’s so ready to be back. Justice is doing much better and only has an occasional cough. I miss him like crazy and can’t wait to see him. He said a few things to me on the phone tonight and he already sounded older.

JT was a little slower getting around today. I think the pace we’ve been keeping this past week or so is finally catching up to him. I will have to admit, I’m not totally disappointed by it. We still went exploring, but our walks were shorter and our nap when we returned was a little longer. He did great with his meds and calorie intake today – no throwing up. Last night around 3:00am ...

I updated early last night before Jacob went to bed and reported that he hadn’t thrown up, well that changed shortly after I gave him his nightly oral meds. As I write this now he is fast asleep in bed and I’m happy to say there was no vomiting today. We didn’t get in all his calories, but that didn’t affect his energy level one bit. Actually, I’m pretty exhausted from trying to keep up with him so short and sweet tonight. Thanks for checking on us.

Update by Aunt B.....Another fun day here in Cincinnati. After getting off to a rough start, the day was filled with laughter and some fun time at the park. But first…the rough start. Mommy and Aunt B weren’t operating at full steam this morning when Jacob got off to a running start. After a minor medicine hiccup (Mommy) and some burned pancakes (Aunt B) the household was almost up and running. Then, Jacob threw up his morning Carnation drink. Thankfully, this was before the oral meds but still a rough start to the morning all the way around.

Jacob and I had fun taking Aunt B to our favorite park, Mt. Airy. We got shut out on seeing deer, but did get to throw crackers to our geese friends out the window of the van. The highlight was our walk to the treehouse.

Another great day here. Jacob got all his calories in, kept his oral meds down and was full of energy. It was much warmer here today and we took three decently long walks outside. It was wonderful to see him running and jumping. We had fun finding lots of sticks, jumping over puddles and making footprints in the snow. Our last walk of the day was an evening walk. Jacob was so excited because it was drizzling a little and we took our big rainbow umbrella with us. When we got back we waited on the porch for Aunt B to arrive. Greeting guests is a bit different around here. We said big hellos to Aunt B from a distance, but then promptly sent her upstairs to shower and change clothes. The whole time she was upstairs Jacob was grinning from ear to ear. When he heard her come down the stairs he lept up from his chair, sprinted across the room and threw his arms around her for an el ...

“Mommy, we’re going to go out West someday.” These are the words Jacob is hollering in to me in the kitchen from the living room. He’s watching the Ballad of Little Joe – a Veggie Tales video set in the Wild West. This boy is so ready to see the world.
