Great news today…Jacob remains 100% donor cells!!!
We had a rough night though again last night. Jacob had trouble sleeping and just couldn’t get comfortable. He vomited several times, but didn’t have any diarrhea. Good news is he is now at his target feed rate of 45ml per hour and tolerating it. He also had two episodes of high blood pressures which required both times, a dose of fast acting hypertension medicine. The docs aren’t sure what caused the increased blood pressures, but they definitely bought us another 24 hours in the hospital so that his blood pressure could be monitored closely. The extra night in the hospital actually is working out ok as our primary attending; Dr. Filipovich, is on for rounds tomorrow. In a few days she will be heading out of the country for three weeks, so it will be good for us to touch bases with her. She always puts our minds at ease and helps us see the long term game plan.
I wanted to get the blog out early as Brian should be arriving anytime now. Please continue to pray for the Hagelin family. Thank you also for continuing to pray for our son. |
