Another good day here in Cincinnati.
Brian, Jodi, Jacob and Justy are all sound asleep upstairs and I am on the blog once more. I think it does the four of them a world of good to be back together as a family. It shows in each of their faces…and in their smiles…and in their spirits.
Brian did the nighttime duties last night and then slept in until noon to catch up on his rest while Jodi did the morning routine. Then she and I took the boys downtown to see the Purple People Bridge. As Jacob will tell you, “we saw lots of cool things...like jet skis and kayaks and one big barge and a truck putting a boat in the water!!!” It was a fun morning outing. When the bubs went down for their nap, Brian and Jodi headed off for a round of Frisbee golf. Then they showered up for their “date night” downtown and I got the boys for the evening. Jacob perked up in the energy department after we headed out to the park and did quite a bit of walking around. Justy of course was running all over the place.
Both boys were eager to greet mommy and daddy when they came back so we walked down to the corner of the block to wave to them when they turned up the street then we ran back up to the house to launch stomp rocket missiles at them. It was a great evening and a wonderful ending to the day.
Jacob did have a pretty serious bout of V this afternoon and the D continues. It broke my heart to hold him while he had his V...but he took it all in stride and asked for a glass of water to make the bad taste go away when he was finished. I would not deal nearly so well. His energy seems to come and go but all and all it seems to be on the ups. As I said at the beginning, I think this time together does them all good.
Check out the pictures page as new photos from this spring have been added and thanks for keeping up with Jacob and family.
