Pretty mellow today. JT caught up on sleep and I tried to run his feeds longer to get some more calories into him. If the D has improved, it’s barely. Meanwhile, he’s back to the V again. Dr. Filipovich said yesterday that it will get better, that one morning Jodi and I will wake up and it will be better. I’m getting impatient for that particular sunrise.
Our Grocery Angel paid a visit this afternoon so our supplies are well-stocked again. JT sat at the table with me during lunch and dinner. He put a noodle to his lips and put a cracker crumb into his mouth before spitting it out immediately. He also put his thumb in some ice cream and touched it to his tongue. I guess these are supposed to be steps in the right direction but he actively resisted any talk of drinking milk, so that seems like several steps backwards.
But we’re keeping on keeping on. It was supposed to hit 91 down here today which makes it difficult for a boy who doesn’t sweat to get outside much. They’re predicting rain tonight though so we plan to hit the Sculpture Park after his morning IV med for a pre-lunch adventure in a golf cart. It will be good to get out of the house after Wednesday’s hospital stay and today’s inside-time.
Please keep praying for protection from any illness and any GVHD, that his immune system grows stronger and that all parts start firing on all cylinders. Thank you.
