I must have checked my email 500 times today but we’ve received no word about the two skin biopsies taken from JT’s foot. We had hoped for news today. Please pray for reassuring news tomorrow.
Otherwise, he was full of the business today which is great to see…running around the house singing and wanting to roughhouse with Justy and me. He’s also into reenacting scenes from Shrek, especially delighting in rescuing the princess from the Dragon’s Keep. We three boys rode up and down our street this evening on my John Deere lawn tractor checking out the moon and the first stars. Good times.
He had a brief episode of the V this morning but otherwise is holding steady at 35 ml/hr on his feeds. They decreased his TPN by about 50% starting tonight, so he'll have to start taking more through the NG tube soon in order to take in enough calories.
Jodi and the boys are heading over to my parents’ camp tomorrow while I stay behind to work at school. Strange but good to think that I’ll be back in front of a classroom in another week or so. Life rolls on as our family’s little drama continues into another season. Jodi brought the boys over to Room 202 yesterday evening and it was fun to see them checking out where I work. Personally, I am adjusting to the two-minute commute rather well.
In other news, Jodi officially resigned from her job today. Coordinating JT’s medical care is more than a full-time job in itself, and that’s the truth. So as I head back to work, she’ll be taking over the whole shebang herself. Please pray that the adjustment goes well for both of us.
And lastly, our water is currently shut off until Monday, another reason Jodi is heading to camp. Since I mowed the lawn this evening, I’m planning to join the local YMCA tomorrow for the simple reason that I need a shower.
That’s ‘bout it. Mostly we’re waiting for good news from Cincinnati. Please pray that it arrives tomorrow. Thanks.
