Hooray! JT went for his first day of Kindergarten today. We are all filled with joy and excitement today. There was definitely a time when we thought public school would not be in the cards. But today that was not the case. Our son experienced a very "normal" childhood milestone and for that we are extremely grateful. I've posted some new pictures that documents the occassion. I've also included some long over due pictures as well. Check them out if you have time.
As for JT's medical stuff...his arm continues to heal well. The incisions are closing up nicely. I posted a picture of his arm right after he came out of surgery on his birthday. JT still feels that getting his arm sewed back up was the best birthday present. We had a wonderful family reunion late at night when JT and Brian returned from Cincinnati. I had some trouble with JT's port and dressing it so it ended up I had to access him 3-4 times in the four days that we were home. He, of course, was a champ about it all. When we returned to Cincy they switched him to oral antibiotics for finish out his course. This was great because I went away for a long weekend with my college girlfriends and Brian wasn't too interested in dealing with a finicky port. JT was happy too.
Unfortunately Justy got sick over the weekend with a sore throat, cough and fever. Brian and the boys had all sorts of adventures planned for when "mommy" was away, but ended up needing to just hang out around home cause Justy felt so sick. Thankfully JT did not catch it. JT and I go back to Cincy for photo next Monday and Tuesday. We're hoping that everything stays low key and he gets a good check-up.
Thank you so much for your love and prayers. It makes such a difference in this journey for us. Don't forget to check out the photo section.
